Outdoor facilities in TodiAs in many Umbrian art cities, Todi offers a lot of walking possibilities with wonderful views and interesting historical features, such as the remains of the etruscan and roman townwall, churches and buildings, and an interesting museum. Todi is also the native city of Jacopone, the first Italian poet born in the 12th century. Todi is often called the city of Jacopone. You can easily shop in the center, buying local specialties such as pasta, cheeses, proscuitto, wines and olive oil, or go to one of the supermarkets outside the town walls. A laundromat is 3 minutes walking distance from the apartment. Regarding parking, in Todi you're generally allowed to enter the historic center by car to go the apartment and drop off your luggage. There are also paying public parking lots near the rental property, directly beside the piazza for short term parking. For longer parking stays, there is a huge parking lot in 'Porta Orvietana' right beside an elevator to the town and then 6 minutes walking distance to the apartment. Otherwise there are free parking spaces below the town wall near the "Consolation Church" which take about 15 minutes to walk, or you can take a mini bus up the hill. |
